A poem by Nancy Fijan
London Fog
Quietly rolling in, his mist spreads all around
calmly covering every inch –
raring will and racing heart
forging a mystifying bond
felt evermore.
Alluring charm floats
in the sweet air
of trance,
slow seconds pass
like long winter hours
and warm summer days.
Soft sheathe, he soothes
a forgotten soul,
tenderly wrapping
her consumed mind.
Veiling secluded trysts
for two,
brave hearts
staring deeply
into freedom’s bliss.
Unclouded certainty
without words
transcends an ocean,
and all before.
Lifting them inevitably,
revealing love’s trust –
finely respected treasures,
holding each other and their own.
